Ralph Nader shoots himself in the foot...

Can someone please tell me what Ralph Nader knows about being Black? He claims that Obama tries to "talk white". Huh??? EXACTLY, what does THAT mean? Is he trying to say that Black people are not intelligent and articulate? I beg to differ. He's stupid and ignorant. Does that make him Black? HECK NO!! I find it so interesting that he and other ignoramuses assume that Black people only speak Ebonics. The last time I checked, there were some inarticulate White people in this country too. Clearly, he's one of them. So I guess Ralphie boy is going to teach Obama how to be "Blacker". How the heck would he know what that entails? I'm a Black woman that has all of her teeth and multiple college degrees. Would Ralph think I'm selling out? PUHHHHH-LEEEEEEZE!! America, you're "whiteness" is showing...

Willie, Willie, Where Art Thou, Willie?

I'm saddened by the news that Willie Randolph, the beloved Brooklyn native and graduate of Samuel J. Tilden High School, was fired as manager of the New York Mets late last night. I liked Willie and I still do. I believe that he was the main reason that The Mets came as far as they did within the last 3 seasons. Now, I will admit that for some reason, The Amazins haven't been able to get over the hump, but I don't think that was all Willie's fault. He can't make hitters hit and pitchers pitch. Lord knows, they get paid more than enough to do their jobs, but unfortunately after the team's late-season collapse last year, Willie's job was definitely hanging in the balance this year. And as predicted, he was let go last night. I, for one, will miss you Willie. I appreciate what you did for us the short time you were here. You have taken this in stride. YOU ARE A CLASS ACT!!

14-Play

Ok... so Robert Sylvester Kelly GOT OFF in more ways than one... NOT GUILTY on ALL FOURTEEN COUNTS!?!?!?!?

First of all, can we talk about how there were NO, I repeat, NO statutory rape charges filed against him? What the heck is THAT about? I don't even want to go into detail about that one. Anyone who saw the tape (I admit I did not see it because I didn't want to take part in child porn voyeurism - not at all judging anyone who did see it) could tell you that there was definitely sexual intercourse with a minor which in turn makes it statutory rape. Yet, no rape charges... WHAT?!?!?!?!?

Now, I can admit to jamming to R.Kelly songs back in the day. But you have got to admit, even if only to yourself, that the topic of his songs has not changed in the 16 years he's been in the game. Take away a "I Believe I Can Fly" and a "U Saved Me" and all you have is 23,543,478 different versions of "Sex Me" and "Feelin' on Yo' Booty". Did we forget that this "lyrical genius" has had a penchant for little girls all the way back when Aaliyah, God bless her soul, was 15 and they exchanged nuptials? The thing that upsets me the most is that there are so many people that have condoned his behavior. I can't for the life of me begin to understand how there were so many people that wanted to see this man get off! These are the same folks that have seen the tapes and know for a fact that the person engaging in intercourse with a minor was "The R" himself. I just ask these folks one thing... What if that was your daughter? Would you be wishing, praying, and hoping for him to get off then? Is this all so that you can bop your head and tap your feet to the latest hot hit that speaks of nothing but lewd acts? And now, one can only wonder if he was writing those songs with under-aged females in mind. YUCK!

R. Kelly has made some questionable statements to the press in recent years. In 2003, he compared his legal troubles to Osama Bin Laden in an interview with Blender saying to the magazine, "Bin Laden is the only one who knows exactly what I'm going through". Look folks, this the same man who was once quoted saying, "I'm the Ali of today. I'm the Marvin Gaye of today. I'm the Bob Marley of today. I'm the Martin Luther King, or all the other greats that have come before us. And a lot of people are starting to realize that now." Say what now? How dare "Kells" lump himself into a group with MLK, Jr.?

He needs Jesus, FOR REAL now. And I'm not talking about putting out an album claiming that he's found God and that he's been forgiven of all his shortcomings and mishaps. People like "The Pied Piper" make it bad for Christians who are really sold out for Christ. What message is he sending to those who don't know Christ? That it's OK to mess up, write a song about it, and all your sins have been forgiven and thrown into the sea of forgetfulness? It doesn't work like that when you go back and continue to commit the same sin again and again. True repentance is when you confess your sin and really make a true and valiant effort, with God's help, to overcome that obstacle. Yes, God is an awesome God whose grace and mercy endures forever. But He is also a God of judgment, the part of Him that many people don't like to or want to acknowledge. And because I do know that part of God, I know in my Spirit that this is not over. God is the ultimate judge and He WILL have the last word. I certainly do hope for his sake, that Robert Sylvester Kelly was NOT the man on those tapes.

Is it just me or do you think it's time for Hill to back off???

OK, I'm mad. Hillary is really showing the "classless and tasteless" side that L mentioned. I don't know if I would have taken it that far yesterday, but this morning... I definitely must agree. She is really trying to do Barack and this Democratic party in. This chick is in the process of running a second freakin' campaign all because she feels entitled to the VP spot. She has yet to concede and she is the topic of every news show this morning. She wants to be the center of attention, well she's gotten her wish. Her supporters need to wake up and smell the coffee and see that it's clearly not about them and the party but IT IS AND ALWAYS WILL BE ABOUT HER! She's bamboozled all the women's activists into thinking this is about them. Her TRUE character has come to light but many of her supporters are blinded by that light. Bow out gracefully? That is not in Hill's vocabulary. It's sickening and I'm sad to say that my respect for her is diminishing by the hour. Her actions have taken things past "I'm not a quitter" to "I'm a sore LOSER". I'm sorry if you Hillary fans don't agree, but this is REAL TALK.

She is about to piss off all those Democrats on the Hill. All those Senate committees that exist won't be trying to see any parts of her. She can forget about the Committee of Foreign Relations, Committee of Appropriations, or Committee of Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs. As a good friend said, "F#$@ around, she will be Chair of the Committee of Doorknobs and Broomsticks" by the time this year is over. I could hear Chuck Schumer now... Shame on Hillary. She is a disgrace to the female gender because all she has done is made us look like petty, catty, b&$%*es. All of her tactics have shown how much of a "woman" she is. You think people aren't sitting around saying, "See, a woman could never run this country. She would start so much trouble because she didn't get her way and just couldn't let some things go." I'm a woman and I feel that way. Ridiculous. I believe she could have opened so many more doors for women if she'd done things differently. Because of her, when a woman does make a stand on something truly valid, she won't be heard nor given a fair shake. Now, any woman that speaks up or takes a stand is going to get the "Hillary" stamp. "Oh, she's pulling a Hillary, she's not gonna let this thing go." Now that's effed up.

A politician is SUPPOSED to work for the greater good of all not themselves. Hillary is no longer a politician. She's just a big crybaby who is making things difficult for everyone else around her who has done better, fair and square... well as fair as politics can allow.
